When someone looks up an individual at a site like Rootsweb, it is best if they have all of the information for that individual with that individual. Using the cut and past feature makes adding information to multiple relatives easier, but it is still more difficult. Ron Ronald H. I am a returning user of CFT v 3.14d I started my family tree a few years ago, basically transcribing some paper based records of my fathers, and I am now taking up where he left off, adding the latest generations. I think I have mastered the basics of CFT but I was wondering how to go about recording information that is general in nature, information that pertains to many generations. For example, like many families, many generations of my family lived in the same English village. What's the best way to record that information so that it can be included in a family history without having to attach it to one or more individuals? I'd welcome advice from other CFT users Regards Paul Barrett paul.barrett@hornton.org.uk ==== CFT-WIN Mailing List ==== To unsubscribe from CFT-WIN, send an e-mail message to: CFT-WIN-L-request@rootsweb.com (for individual messages) CFT-WIN-D-request@rootsweb.com (for Digest mode) Subject: unsubscribe In the body include only one word: unsubscribe (Turn OFF your signature file when sending this command)
