    3. G'day Ira, > Document. Then I often will save pedigree charts (ancestry > tree) diagrams in WMF format. Thanks for the tip Ira. I am about to start that side of things and assumed that the WMF probably had something to do with it. I aim to do a number of "small" [3 generation or so] to accompany sections/chapters of the book. Still not sure how to best display the 11 generations I have in one line. I really want something like the DESCENDANTS tab in the main window just to tie everyone together. Any ideas on that? Thanks. 3. The problem with an 11 generation pedigree chart is that there are too many people to show on a single page. Thus with each generation doubling you get the following: 1. 1 2. 2. 3. 4 4. 8 5. 16 6. 32 7. 64 8. 128 9. 256 10. 512 11. 1024 It is impossible to show 2047 people on a single page (the sum of all the numbers above). Usually what happens is that you have perhaps a single line that has 11 generations and the actual number of people you want to show is much less. What I have done before is use a graphics program to draw diagrams of certain family structures and include them as a graphic in my Word Processor as a page in the book. It does require manual effort and takes time, but you can get things looking the way you want with only showing the people you want.
