You can change the color settings by going to control panel. Click on display. This should give you a panal for display properties with 6 tabs. This is where you change your backgrounds, screen savers and such. Click on the third tab. This is the appearance tab. From here you should be able to change the colors. This is not only for the windows programs as my Cumberland program is what I have changed my color scheme to. Hope this helps you. Dawn, In win95 I followed your directions to the appaerance tab. And while I see how the borders and text of a window can be changed I did not see how I can cange the color of program icons in CFT. What did I miss? Mike At 12:58 18/05/01 +0200, you wrote: >You can change the color settings by going to control panel. Click on >display. Ok Mike, I have one more suggestion. You go to the exact same place as I told you before. This is under appearance. There are several things you change with your color schemes. Really you have to play with it until you have it how you like it. Some things are easier seen if you apply them. I would suggest though, you write down what you currently have to remember, if you don't find what you are looking for. The top drop down tap is scheme. I believe you said you wanted a dark background with light letters. If you select high contrast, this will give you that very effect. There are several high contrasts with normal size lettering, large fonts, etc. I tried it myself to make sure I am correct. This will give you a black or dark background with light colored letters including every program you use. The second drop down will be item. I had selected application background for this tab. I hope this helps you. Like I said, you may have to play with a bit to see what you prefer but it can give you the effect that you were looking for. Let me know how it turns out.
