    1. [CFTW] Place name editing

    3. | Please excuse this if it has come up before but ...................... | | In the "Place" Editor .. if the place name is more than 51 spaces long ie. | the width of the box, it stops. I am getting round this by putting the | proper length place name into an individual's details and merging them but | it is very long winded. | | Is there a way of allowing longer names into the Edit box ? | | Many thanks | Hugo Slater |

    1. [CFTW] Database restructuring
    2. Hugo Slater
    3. Hi there Ira Had a thought the other day when I was doing a rebuild of my database. There is a tck box there that says re-order the events in date order .. which is fine. But when you do not have a marriage date, say, it then sends this to the bottom of the data on that person. Would it be possible to either have as an alternate or instead "Restructue in standard event order"? This way you could set up your standard events in the order you would like and Birth would come before Baptisms, Marriage before Death ( though for some it may be the same event !) etc ... So when you did a restructure all your events would be in a logical order. Just a thought Many thanks Hugo Slater

Actually the way it really works is that events without dates get "attached" to the event just preceding it, so that as the unknown date is sorted it floats with the preceding event. With few events it may be difficult to see this pattern. Ira ------------------------------------------------ Mr. Ira J.
