However I wonder if anyone has found a way around this. It might be >useful to have that function switchable so that either a full report is >produced or a report with only the file differences listed. When you merge there is an option to include or exclude the name from second database being added to the note field of that individual. I think this is what you refer to. Just make sure you have not checked that option. (I believe it is the first option listed and normally unchecked - which is what it sounds like you want to do.) The log listing created does show the two names next to each other so you can edit and correct only those you wish. >2. I intend to produce the 'Book' report complete with photos of people etc >in the appropriate places. Is there a suggested size for the photos so they >fit nicely and all look hte same on the book pages? I suggest that when you scan them in you keep the file size between about 50K and 150K. Don't get much more than about 200K otherwise the memory use on photo album report could cause a crash. Otherwise the option to adjust the size of photos allows for a wide variation and experimentation with the Photo Album report is likely to help you decide on the best size for output.
