    3. I have noticed that some people use "Of Youngstown, OH" or "Of London, England" instead of "Youngstown, OH" or "London, England." It appears that these have the same meaning, but obviously the sort in the Place Name Editor does not work. I also often see. ", , , OH" instead of "OH" indicating missing City, Twp., Co., entries. Is there an advantage to this or a GEDCOM convention that works off these commas? Ronald H. 3. When preceding a place name like "of Youngstown, Ohio" it means the person lived in that area at one time in their life, but it does not necessarily mean they were born there, as this is normally placed in a birth place field. The extra commas are a product of other programs (PAF usually) - but I don't care for them and if I ever copy info from the web into my database I edit out all the commas and spell states out all the way. I try to keep my data looking clean. I even lower case the "Of" to "of" as I think it looks better and remove commas that often follow the "of".
