I'll mention it again, in case any of you are new users since I last commented on it, but most users who just give up both Outlook Express and Netscape, and switch to the free (with ads) program, Eudora Pro, wouldn't go back to MSOE or Netscape for anything. I've used Eudora since 1994, through all the upgrades, and it gives no problems whatsoever, not even any configuration problems with other programs. It is rock-steady, offers all the utilities of the other two (plus some), is NOT bothered by all those viruses, worms, and trojans that plague Outlook Express and Outlook, and is judged by many of the Listowners who now use it to be the best available. You can read about it and download at: http://www.eudora.com It comes in 3 versions: Light Mode: Free, no ads, lacking some features Sponsored Mode: Free, with ads, all the features Paid Mode: Costs money, no ads SgtGeorge At 07:15 AM 03/11/2001, Amy Macdonald wrote: *********START OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT********* >Dawn....Another solution would be to switch to Netscape.....I've used it >for >years. I must say I did not mean to create a debate about mail programs. I have nothing to say bad about Outlook Express. I actually am very pleased with the program in general. The only point I was trying to make is that mine had a configuration error. Any type of configuration conflict in any program will cause problems all the way around. One dll.file can send your computer in total havoc. If I am not mistaken Outlook Express acknowledges this and that is why they have fixes. I believe there is a science behind our computers. There are many great programs to chose from. It's just a matter of opinion, nothing is completely without errors. As for viruses, well I constantly have my virus protector running to avoid problems.
