Can anyone else verify this? I don't think my software is carrying a virus, but if it is, I really want to know. Do any of you have some good virus checkers that can verify if this is true? Ira, I'm running Macfee Active Shield on-line Dat Version 40.4127, created 3/6/2001, Engine 4.0.70 and have not detected any virus after downloading 3.06 Bruce McKay -----Original Message----- From: Ira J Lund [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, March 09, 2001 5:39 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [CFTW] Virus? To add another virus checker for a clean sweep. I use an up to date version of VET (it,s Australian so you may not have heard of it!) and like the programs used by the other respondents it was smart enough to know that what was going on was an installation not a virus. I have had no trouble downloading or using 3.06. While I'm on air may I say I love the new version - the photos do not slow it down noticeably (Pentium II 400Mhz) but I have always been careful to (1) keep them small; (2) use jpeg (.jpg) formats not bitmap (.bmp); and (3) stick to black & white not colour. Also I have only one printer so the loss of the ability to select another one is of as much a concern to me as the length of the individual hairs on my dog's tail!
