    3. Hi Jerry I seem to remember having this problem myself and it was caused by the "CHAR" tag having the wrong value. I know "ANSEL" works so try editing your GEDCOM file in a text editor and change the "CHAR" tag to "ANSEL". 3. Sorry, I sent this back to one person instead of the list. Here is what I sent. ------------------------------------------------------ This is becoming a real deal........! I have made gedcoms from family tree maker & Legacy. I can open them in the opposite programs and they import also into PAF and work. I have saved them all ways you can, ansi, ansel, gedcom 5.5 etc, they all work in family tree maker, legacy, and PAF, but are considered corrupt in Cumberland. I downloaded the free 45 day trial from the Cumberland web site, I do not need to download any other files do I?? (I did this twice) Any suggestions after this? Thanks, Jerry Longstrom
