Hello Jon Follow "Tools, Global Search" When this window opens click on the tab "Date Search" Both "Start Date" and "End Date" fields have to be filled in. For a single day both date fields would have the same date. Also a full date must be used e.g. 01 Jan 2005. Jerry Port Coquitlam B.C. That's the problem. I don't want to enter a full date. I want to enter a day-month and have the program return all events which have that day-month, that is, all years. As said, this works easily in v.2. Hello Jerry ( and Jon ) I have version 3.14 and just tried what what you suggested with a birth date I knew to be in the database and it wasn't picked up. It doesn't seem to me as if the Global Search feature can do what Jon requires. The best I could do was to use it to extract all the births between 2 dates, but even then I could not sort them in date order. I thought of copying and pasting the list into a spreadsheet to sort it there but one is not permitted to select/copy/paste. Malcolm. Norwich.
