    3. Just to add to this, I want to use Cumberland because it has a birthday list that I like and can use for web sites for relatives. I have searched for programs to do this and Family tree maker, Legacy, PAF, and others do not. If someone knows of a program that does a birthday list like this I would appreciate knowing. I want the Name, birth date, and age to show starting in January throught December. So many of them either sort alpha by name, in calendar view that does not work good on web sites, drops off first name and uses initials instead, can only print them not save in a file, and so on. Cumberland puts out a list that shows what I want and the order I want. Thanks, Jerry Longstrom

    3. Yes, the 45 day trial does work with GEDCOM files. It should work. Email one of the ged files to me personally and I will take a look. 3. The program has internally built to try to print as much detail as possible. If for example a child does not have anything more than birth and death date then typically it won't have a + sign and continuation. If however, there is a spouse or other details that don't show up when listed under his parents then the child has a + sign and more info is given. So although some of the data may be repeated there is typically at least one extra piece of information that shows up when listed by themselves as when they were listed as a child. 1. RE: [CFTW] Date Search
    2. Ira J Lund
    3. Due to the way dates are stored internally in Ver 3 as opposed to ver 2 has caused this problem. In Ver 2 the date was stored as pure text exactly the way it was entered. In Ver 3 a date is stored as numeric day, month and year numbers with conversion routines which allow calculations to be made. Thus for the date range searches a day and month only won't work. 3. Hello Jerry ( and Jon ) I have version 3.14 and just tried what what you suggested with a birth date I knew to be in the database and it wasn't picked up. It doesn't seem to me as if the Global Search feature can do what Jon requires. The best I could do was to use it to extract all the births between 2 dates, but even then I could not sort them in date order.
