    3. There are Window95 shareware programs which allow you to "screen dump" anything in front of you. Perhaps this is what you would need... 3. Ira - I use a laptop quite a lot. I connect it to my desktop using Direct Cable Connect (similar to lap link) which is built into Win 95 and Win 98. Then I use "My Briefcase" while I am away from home When I come back, I can automatically update all the files in the Desk Top using Direct Cable Connect. The way CFT is now set up, I cannot use it in "My Briefcase". If you understand "My Briefcase" you will know what I mean. If not, let me know, and I will give you a more detailed explanation without boring the list with it. My point is, it would be nice if I could use CFT through "My Briefcase", however, I do not know if it is possible to set it up that way since multiple data files are used. Let me know what you think. 2. Hi Tracy, I totally agree with you! I'm also missing the functionality you mentioned. I would like to print the main screen details for the 'active' person right from the main window itself. There is still room for a push-button and perhaps Ira should consider to design a 'print card' function. This would work like printing a sheet for a Cardex system. I don't like to go to the print report screen either, doing all of the settings and doing a preview etc. I know that a cut&paste functionality will not be possible in the main screen. Perhaps a push-button functionality would fulfill the requirements for many of us who need simple to print or save the text from the main screen. Good-old screen scraper techniques would do the job perfectly I assume. Perhaps this is a challenge for Ira. If I need a hard copy of the main window now, then I make a hard copy of the active window. This copies the complete window to the printer or to a file whatever I like. There are many windows hard copy utilities on the market (freeware, shareware or commercial) Are there any others who would like this functionality? Let me hear your comments. In the old Windows 3.1 version you did MEMMAKER to free up more memory. But not sure in Windows 95. Not sure if MEMMAKER works in Win95. Also the problem may be related to a corrupt database rather than memory problem. You should try the CSORT utility first. You might also try the SAMPLE or create a sample to see if it gives the error screen. Ira PS. Sorry for the delay. I REMed the drivers and that freed it to 536K and the program opened. It gave me the improper closer warning. I checked my data and it seems OK. I installed CFT 2.30 and converted my data. Yes, I know 2.31 is out but I already had the 2.30 zip file downloaded. As it was converting my database it said my database was saved in something other than English and to translate my months to English. I've never used anything BUT English. When finished everything was in English including the months. Anything I should know before upgrading to 2.31? Also can I try out the Beta version also? >95 would not normally require DOS level drivers for the CD-ROM under normal >conditions. Well, I had an old external 2x CD-ROM drive and a internal NEC 4x4. I bought a new internal NEC 8x4. I attempted to enslave the two NECS giving me a total of 9 CD ROM drives! I thought I had it working but now the old 4x4 does not appear to be getting power because the CD trays won't open so you can put a CD in. I hope to fix it without causing any more problems!<G> Mr.T (Tracy Schell) from The Sunshine State.
