    3. At the Marysville Public Library there is a resource room called the "California Room"; checking the Rumsey (sp?) Index shows a possible match of an article: "Appeal-Democrat", page 3, May 13, 1922 "Mr EE Bryan sold his 20 acre almond orchard near Franklin Corners to Wilson of San Francisco." Franklin Corners is now part of Yuba City (Sutter County) Obit: Friday, Nov 124, 1952, Page 18 [Note: Marysville is in Yuba County; Chico in Butte County] [Note: The Hotel Marysville is still standing, but going through many different restorations. Many years ago was considered to be the finest place for parties and receptions. ] "Private Funeral Service Monday for E. E. Bryan" "Private funeral services will take place Monday at 11 a.m. for Eldon E. Bryan, retired Marysville businessman, who died yesterday afternoon at his home, 112 E 13st St., Marysville. The services will be conducted in Huddleston Funeral chapel, Chico. Bryan for many years was active in building, financing and selling homes in Marysville and Yuba City and was one of the developers of the Hotel Marysville project. Born in Chico April 20, 1879, the son of pioneer parents, Andrew Jackson Bryan and Mary Elizabeth Bryan, he attended schools in Chico and then moved to Marysville to become an employe [sic] of the Union Lumber Co. He and Mrs. Bryan, the former Sarah H. Rusby, were married on June 30, 1903. After several years with the Union Lumber Co., Bryan, with W. G. Newmyer and the late Herbert G. Cave, formed the Shasta Lumber Co. which was incorporated in 1909. At the [blurred] Shasta company sold out to Diamond Match Co, it had grown to include a plan [blurred] and in Marsyville, Honcut, Sutter, and Wheatland. During these years Bryan became active in home building and sold several attractive dwellings in East Marysville. Survivors, besides his wife, are a daughter, Katherine Mintzer, and a grandson, Bryan Worthington Mintzer, of San Diego, and three sisters, Alma Moritz and Josephine Bryan of Paradise and Ethel Bryan of Chico."
