Wonder if anyone has access to the 1850 Census for Yuba County and could do a look-up for a James Gordon, William Fowler and Peter Sanford. I found a James Gordon on an 1850 Yuba Co Index and would like to find out if it's "my" James Gordon. James Gordon from WI went to CA during the Gold Rush and it is possible that Fowler and Sanford did too. James returned to WI, but Fowler and Sanford may have stayed in CA.
