Emma had two brothers; Paul and Heine. All four came to reside in the San Francisco bay area. Emma horwege died before I was born. She had two sons and gave birth to them both in San Francisco. She was married to a Lachman before 1900. Her first born son was named Harry Lachman. Emma gave birth to her second son Harold H. Davis, my father, in August of 1906. I have several photographs of Emma Horwege but none of any other Horwege family members other than Wilhemina (Minnie) Horwege. Wilhemina Horwege Sartori had one son Horace Benedict Sartori. Horace had one child; my cousin Karen Furguson.The only only Horwege I have met and knew was my great aunt Wihemina. I do have Emma's death certificate and I believe I have a copy of Minnie's also. Paul and Heine lived in the east bay. I believe they lived together in Alameda (county), CA. I don't have too much knowledge of the history from that side of my family. However, I do have some (additional information). Wilhemina's daughter-in-law (now in her 80's) told me that at one time Minnie traveled to Heidleberg, Germany and visited some cousins there. I don't know if the surname of these cousins was Horwege - somehow I think not but really not sure. Emma Horwege Lachman and Wihemina Horwege Sartori are buried together at Holy Cross (a Catholic cemetery) in Colma, CA. Hope this information is of help to you in your search.
