Hello all, I am new to this list. I have been researching my great great uncle Hiram Works. He shows up variously on the voter registrations as living in Slate Range Township, Long Bar Township, and Camptonville. I am pretty sure that he never married so there would not be any decendants or such. He wrote letters home to his sister regularly but no one in the family knows what became of him. I think he was with the Kennebec Company when it left Maine in 1849. I am looking for more information on this company and uncle Hiram if anyone has anything. Thanks Lee Works
