Her mother's name was Sophia and when Mr. Beckman died Minnie was 12 years old. Her mother married a John D. Carstenbrock b.1836 in Germany d. May 30, 1889 in Marysville, CA. Minnie's maidnen name was listed as Carstenbrock on my Grandfather's death certificate. The Carstenbrocks ended up in Live Oak, CA. Sophia was b. May 20 1820 in Germany. I have seen Carstenbrock mis-spelled Carstenbrook. Hope this is helpful. Have a great day! Deanna
