Morse was a Methodist Minister. He left The state of Washington after an Indian uprising and came to Marysville, Yuba Co. and to the mining area around Orleann Flat.(does any one know where that is?)He was preaching in the area of 1855 to 1861. He went back to Illinois when the War broke out. If any one has run across the name in any history or church books or have any sugestions on the search I sure would appreciate any information.
