hi Jim & Harriette The name Laney is familiar to me as there was a Francis Laney who was a realtor in our area. I could find no record of John or Harriet but I did find the following: Charles Francis Laney, was a painter, Obit 26 Apr 1924 Appeal Democrat Pg 5 and a Eda Laney, I think this was an obit, 20 Oct 1901 & 19 Oct 1901 Appeal Democrat, Pg 4 for both.
