Her parents are unknown. Her mother reportedly died of TB in the mid 1920s. The family story has that Ruby spent some time in a Catholic orphanage in Marysville, but this is not known for certain. She was raised by her grandmother, Perlina possibly Hayes or Cole. Perlina was at one time married to William Harrison. Ruby Raymond had two brothers, Earl J. Hayes b. 1901, and William Auburn Raymond, b. 1915. I haven't found much to go on and would greatly appreciate any help.
