Just for your info I discovered that Yuba Co.has a biography site, and found a biography for James Edward Strain. Learned a lot about the family. Couldn't find it on the Yuba Co. website. Suspect family members still own and operate the farm on the Feather River. James had two sons: Edward and Maurice. If anyone has ties to this family would love to hear from them.
