    3. Linda, You're very welcome! Anything else easy to check on my end? Most of my family research is in Ohio, or New England so I know how that can be frustrating. Of his stepkids, none of them appear to be local. Funny how they didn't mention anything about is livelihood. The only thing I dislike about Yuba County (the county seats of Yuba and Sutter counties are separated by a river) is they don't have any easy computer index of their probate materials. Would looking at the results of his records help? Doesn't sound like there is any family line of his left. Hi, "Appeal-Democrat" Sat June 29, 1985; page A-6 "Lee Roy Bankus Private funeral services will be conducted for Lee Roy Bankus, 67, of Marysville, who died Thursday at Marysville Convalescent Hospital. The California Room at the Marysville Public Library has a collection of phone books: 1980: Bankus, Lee and Clara A, retired, 414 8th St Marysville 1985: Bankus, Dean & Mary 428 E 14th St Marysville "Valley Rose Printing" 1985: Bankus, Tim 905 E 17th St Marysville "Yuba Placer Gold" NO Listed for Lee or Clara in 1985! 2004: Bankus, Angela is the only listing; perhaps a relative? A quick trip to the tax assessor's office 428 E 14th Street: purchased on 4/19/1963 by Dean & Mary (perhaps related?) 414 8th Street: currently the Marysville First United Methodist Church 905 E 17th Street: Not owned by Tim "Hutchison and Carnes": out of business; suggested that perhaps Mr. Bankus was cremated. Records received by Sierra View, located at 4900 Olive Av, Olivehurst (Yuba County); (530) 742-6957. No information on Mr. Bankus; his wife Clara, also was not listed. 3. Hi, here's the Obit: "Appeal-Democrat", November 13, 1970; page A-4 "Center C. Moore, 86, a 37-year resident of the Yuba - Sutter area, died yesterday at the Marysville Convalescent Hospital. He was a native of Lee County, Ark., and had made his home at 9910 Oroville Highway. Survivors include his wife, Liller Moore of Marysville; three stepdaughters, Venie Creel of Corpus Christi, Tex., Delie Gregory of Marianna, Ark., and Geneva Dunlap of Menlo Park; and a stepson, Willis King of San Mateo. Graveside services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park, with Rev. A. Don Roberts of the Marysville First Christian Church officiating. Lipp and Sullivan Chapel is in charge of arrangements." A quick look through the tax assessor's records shows that the home address (Yuba County) was a farm; there was no specific family information listed. However, it did indicate that farm was owned by the Mormon Church. Sierra View, located at 4900 Olive Av, Olivehurst (Yuba County); (530) 742-6957 lists him in the "Garden of Peace", Lot 29 Space E; his wife, Liller, is next to him in space F; her date of death was Feb, 1971 If you are interested in a PDF of the obit, send an email to steve.shepard@beale.af.mil -----Original Message----- From: cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of HWilson129@aol.com Sent: Friday, March 21, 2008 1:23 PM To: cayuba-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [CAYUBA] Center Cleveland Moore/Obit I am searching for information about the above individual who died in Marysville on November 12, 1970. Perhaps with a date of birth someone could check the local year books. Since they lived in Marysville (proper, or main part of town), he would most likely have attended Marysville High School (started in the late 1930's). steve -----Original Message----- From: cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, February 08, 2008 7:05 PM To: CAYUBA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [CAYUBA] Shirley McBurney Galligan This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. 3. Finally got a hand free, and looked some basic information up for the Traylor's. First, the city of Marysville library has a very helpful "California Room". They had Mr Traylor's date of obituary already on file: Appeal-Democrat, Wednesday, March 8, 1950, page 2 "John Traylor, 48, Dies In Hospital Jerry Traylor, 48, resident of 927 11 St, Marysville, died yesterday in a local hospital after an illness of one month. Traylor, who was a lumberman, had lived in this area for the past two years. He was a native of Louisiana. He is survived by a son, Kenneth, and a daughter, Miss Ann Traylor, both of Marysville. Funeral servies will be conducted in the chapel at Sierra View Memorial part at 10 a.m., Saturday, it is announced by the Jarvis Funeral home." Consulting the Yuba County property information, the address is a trailer park; there are dates recorded for his residence in Marysville. Also, he was not listed in either the 1946 or 1947 phone books. I hope this is helpful for your research. steve -----Original Message----- From: cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:cayuba-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2008 11:12 AM To: CAYUBA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [CAYUBA] TRAYNOR, John (Jack?) and Georgia This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Are these the same people that are on the Los Angeles 1930 Census, with Georgiana's daughter Delores PRATT? Also Jack/John was a Locksmith in 1930. I'm hoping that there is someone that is still around who might know of these people. Thank you for taking time to read this...
