His spouse is an Elizabeth, and the only girl born at the correct time in the parish registers is the above mentioned Elizabeth Ann Hope this has been of help, and I would be grateful if somebody could confirm the connection between James and Elizabeth As there is a Firth Rd in Brampton Bierlow (which is adjacent to Wath-upon-Dearne, I am presuming this is the Firth Lane area refered to.
