Surnames: FULTON, SINGLETON Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CY.2ADI/258 Message Board Post: John Edward Fulton John Edward Fulton, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died May 8, 2002 of natural causes. He was born Aug. 14, 1911 in Oxnard, California. When he was five years old, in 1916, his parents bought a ranch in Winters where he lived for the next 85 years. Mr. Fulton went to Wolfskill Elementary and graduated from Winters High School. Upon graduation, he had several different careers, including: breaking mustangs, delivering mail, hauling dynamite, building roads and dams, and farming in Winters, Dixon and Sacramento. His wife of 69 years, Trudy Fulton, his four children, John Harold Fulton, Lawrence Fulton, Thomas Fulton and Leah Singleton. His seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive him. A memorial service was held at 8642 Tubbs Road on Saturday, May 11, for close friends and family. Mr. Fulton had a great love of life and was very active until a few short weeks ago. He had a sound body and mind up until the end, and will be greatly missed. He was a success to all of those that knew him.
