Cheryl http://www.santapaulatimes.com/news/fullstory.php/aid/5733/Obituaries.html Doris Schmidt Doris Schmidt, 71, of Santa Paula, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Doris was born on March 24, 1932 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota and was a 47-year resident of Ventura County. Doris was a homemaker for 52 years. She was an avid bingo player and loved reading books. Doris is survived by her husband, Armond Schmidt of Lewis, Colorado; sons Joe Schmidt of Lewis, CO, Leroy Schmidt of Santa Paula, and Eddie Schmidt of Santa Paula; daughter Susie Schmidt of Santa Paula; five grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary. Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:15 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, December 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will take place at a later date back home in Lewis, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, care of Doris Schmidt, 2140 Eastman Ave., #203, Ventura, CA 93003. Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, 128 S. 8th St., Santa Paula, 525-5595.
