Mrs. Harlock was born July 24, 1905, in La Canada, Calif., to John and Eva Jane (Perkins) Armstrong. After graduating from Franklin High School in Los Angeles, she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. She married George Edwin Harlock on June 19, 1926. She was a homemaker, an award winning gardner and landscaper, and a member of the Los Angeles Fern, Fuchsia and Begonia Societies as well as the Gem and Mineral Society. She served on the Ventura County Election Board and was a judge for the County Fair. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed fishing and watching the Thunderbirds on Roller Derby. Mrs. Harlock is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert G. and Ellen Harlock of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren: Steven Harlock, James Harlock, and Susan Anderson; three great-grandchildren: Michelle Ballard, Vanya Applebee and Elizabeth Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four siblings, and a great-grandson. Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, at 3 pm at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura, CA.
