Two of them are available for public access, one at the Ventura County Museum of History & Art Research Library. The other is at the Fillmore Historical Society. It is a three volume set arranged alphabetically giving biographical references of individuals living in Ventura County at the time it split from Santa Barbara County in 1873. There are no "Stuart's" listed since they arrived after 1873. The VCMHA Library also has a master biographical index covering not only Ricard but other resources. I am related to the Joseph M. Stuart family from Moorpark, Santa Paula & Nordhoff. The other Stuart family settled in the Bardsdale area. Let me know if you have any other questions. CRAIG

I have the info from the mug book at the Ventura County History and Art Museum. Not much to go on but will go back to look up the obits on both Margaret and Edwin. I did get the death certs on both but Edwins was so old nothing was even listed as cause of death. Margaret's has more info but Emma's (her daughter) has conflicting info as to Margaret's birth place. One was filled out by my grandfather, for Emma and Margaret's was filled out by one my grandfather's sister so not sure which is correct. Thanks for trying!! M.

William Byron Hunkins married with Julia Darrow on July 21, 1934 in Ojai, California. William is my granduncle. 2. Louis A. Escobar married with Vera M. Gardner(or Scott) in between from 1920 to 1950 in Ventura Co. I believe they married in 1930. Louis is used to be Luis or Louie. He is my granduncle. Thanks so much. Hello, The California Senate Committee on Local Government is undertaking a review of the Public Cemetery District statutes with an eye to reforming the entire law. I will be attending these meetings as an advisor to the Working Group and would like to hear from anyone who has experienced any problems with the way in which some districts may be operating.
