I rec'd this message about the early William CAVE who was born Va, lived in NC and later removed to KY. Thought I would share it with the list. I had him buried in Cave Creek cemetery Powell county, KY. This man has been there and photographed the stone. He saw my listing at Rootsweb.com World connect file I have it up under < seafamilyfiles > This has been a good way to have corrections made to the files. If any of you have a look at my files and see mistakes, PLEASE either add a post note or contact me. I will get a notice on the post notes, so either way it comes to me. I was there last year and have a photo of William's headstone.
I am trying to find information on a Sinkler or St. Clair Cave who would have been in Botetourt County, VA in the 1830's and 1840's. He was my ggg-grandfather and I have no further information on him except that he had a daughter named Emeline who married Robert Hayes (Hays) and they latter moved to Braxton County VA/WVA. I thought that there might be some connection since the time frame and location are the same. Can anyone out there be of some assistance? Thank you in advance.
