In the early years of the twentieth century, Hillfields played a key part in the development of Coventry's Car Industry. In total there were 20 different car makers located in Hillfields. The Lady was a voiturette, built by Henry Cave. It was powered by a 2.25 h.p. De Dion engine with power applied through a "Stow" flexible propshaft to the rear axle. The car could manage 16 m.p.h.
