I suspect that these are the graves of my gg grandmother, Sarah Cave's 1st cousin, William Lewis Cave who died in February of 1821. He was the son of Tarlton and Nancy Ann (Parker) Cave and Sarah was the daughter of Nathan B. and Elizabeth (Anderson) Cave. Tarlton and Nathan were the sons of John and Sarah Wilson (Brown) Cave. My gg grandmother Sarah married Charles R. Beck and lived in Barnwell County, S.C. I have been searching for some time for the graves of my Cave ancestors without any luck and would appreciate any help in this matter.

Your Aunt Gussie also married a Rowe Yon. My mom says that perhaps Seabrook was married to Dora at some point and left her for Nodie. Which may explain a few things. However some of the dates I've seen on Dora and Seabrook make them 20 years older than what is on Seabrooks gravemarker. I think bad record keeping. The 1880 census lists Seabrook as 16 years old which coincides with the birthdate on his headstone. Please forward any info on the Yons please. Thanks Cousin.

Carrie is in #110. The markers for Seabrook and Nodie read 1865-1922 for Seabrook and 1873-1939 for Nodie. I found a birthdate for the Nora you mentioned but it was dated 20 years earlier than the one on Nodies marker. I'd like to know who she was. My mother Peggy Jean Irick said that her mother Carrie told her that Seabrooks parents never had anything to do with them(Seabrook & Nodie) after the marriage. S & N had children Juanita,Carrie,Thelma,Gussie,Irene,William and Tom. Mom says Nodie was an Ashley and has it that way in the family bible. I notice that Seabrooks mom was an Ashley also so it would be interesting to find out what transpired. Looks like you and my mom are Cousins. Did you know her and her sister Sybil growing up? Sybil is married to Malcom Ready.

The death certificate says Sept 2, 1876 in Leroy, ALabama and the grave stone says Sept 8, 1878. So I am now confused. He was married to Pennie Simpkins. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi folks, I have just obtained the birth certificate of my grandmother, Ellen Elizabeth (Nellie) Cave. She was born 11 Dec 1896 in Horwich, Bolton, Lancashire, the daughter of John Richard Cave and Minnie Cave, (formerly Chesterton). John and Minnie were married in Nottingham in 1890, I believe (from FreeBMD) There is a John R. Cave in the 1881 census, (father Richard), and there is a birth for John Richard Cave in FREEBMD for 1870, which seems to match. If anyone can add anything to the above, I'd be most interested. Regards Richard -- Born in Sheffield, but currently in Nottingham UK.
