It was originally published in the "National Genealogical Society Quarterly", Volume 75, Number 1, March 1987. It is entitled "From Maria To Bill Cosby: A Case Study in Tracing Black Slave Ancestry" by Johni Cerny. It is 10 pages in length and traces Bill Cosby's ancestry It traces his lineage back to a Sam Thomas Cosby, born in Nelson County, VA. Sam was the son of a slave named Maria, who was owned by a John Cosby. If you are interested in a copy, let me know.
