I am the listowner for the FINE mailing list, and have been concentrating in that area. Let me introduce myself, first. Kaye Larrabee PO Box 65600-321 Lubbock, TX 79464-5600 (806) 783-8302 My great-grandmother was Ruthy COSBY (1814-1875 b AL d AR) who married Peter FINE. (Her siblings married into the WILLIFORD, LEWIS, and MANKINS lines....also in my Arkansas batch of cousins) Ruthy's father was Wiley COSBY (1800 - 1849? Disappeared in the Gold Rush) born in Virginia. Married Mary? That's all I have had for 20 years, until an old pedigree from 1964 came by serendipitous genealogy to me this week. Now, I show that Wiley's father was James Woods COSBY 1775-1874 (VA and AL), who was the son of Colonel James COSBY, M.D., of the Colonel Sevier fame and Isabella Woods. And here, my problems begin. Before I go into all my varying information, is anyone from this line who could tell me who Colonel James Cosby's father was?
