I suspect David's father was John and John's father was likely William Causby who entered land in Burke County, NC in 1778. If anyone can help, please let me know. Since I found a Catherine Causby, 48 years old who died September 11, 1851, buried at McDowell Presbyterian Church, I assume she was the first wife and David then married Sarah.
