Augusta Chronicle Augusta, GA October 23, 1998 MR. MITCHELL COSBY WARRENTON, Ga. -- Mr. Mitchell Cosby, 47, of 712 Gunn Road, died Monday, Oct. 19, 1998, at his residence. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sandy Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church, with Rev. George Ivey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Cosby, a native of Warren County, attended school in the Warren County School System. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy T. Ivey, Thomson; his mother, Catherine R. Cosby, Warrenton; nine brothers, James Coy Gilliam and Willie Richard Gilliam, both of Atlanta, Willie Ricketson, Brooklyn, N.Y., Mack Cosby Jr., Fort Valley, Ga., Donald Cosby, Colorado Springs, Colo., Carl Cosby, Curtis Cosby and Calvin Cosby, all of Warren- ton and Marvin Cosby, Everette, Wash.; and seven sisters, Catherine Cosby, Augusta, Janet Jackson, Carol A. Cosby and Christine Cosby, all of Warrenton, Fay V. Cosby, Thom- son, Marilyn Bly, Harlem, and Alice Cosby, Fort Valley. Friends may call at the residence of his mother, 712 Gunn Road, or at Dawson's Mortuary. The family will receive friends in the church annex after the burial.
