I am interested in knowing more about the Cosby family in the U.S. esp. before the American Revolution. I have a George Cosby who was married to a Mary McGregor, from Northern Ireland, and I am somewhat interested in knowing if this family who fought for the Crown..might be related to those who fought for the Patriots. They were in New York, then went back to Ireland a bit at the end of the war, then back to Ontario, where they were granted land for their service in the War.
