Dear Marti: Thanks for your response regarding my surname, Causbie. I cannot find material earlier than 1850. Then our name was spelled Cosby. By 1880 the same brothers were Causbie. Cozby I have not seen in our family materials. In 1880 the two Causbie brothers, Samuel Monroe and Washington Jackson (Hick) (my greatgrandfather) and families immigrated from Marshall County, Tennessee to Sharp County, Arkansas. Some children moved on the Texas, and most stayed in Arkansas. I believe earlier ancesters lived in North Carolina, probably Cosbys.
