Hi James, I am a fairly new COSBY (all spellings) researcher. Do you have a list of children for James COSBY who married Isabella WOODS? I am descended from Wiley COSBY, (c 1795-c 1849; disappeared during The Gold Rush). He last lived in Washington County, AR, in 1848. Family oral history says that James Woods COSBY, son of your James and Isabella, is my Wiley's father. However, I recently made contact with cousins who have Wiley's father as James Spencer COZBY and Wiley's grandfather as William COZBY. I am just trying to gather as much information and as many sources as possible. Any hints? Thanks, Kaye Larrabee 2113 95th St. Lubbock, TX 79423

Since we now have the Causby GenConnect Board, I will post any Causby, Cosby, etc. obits that I find to the board rather than the Causby-L. For those of you who prefer to receive the information via e-mail, please go to the Causby GenConnect Obits Board and you will find an area near the bottom of the page labeled "Subscribe" where you can enter your e-mail address and receive any item posted to the board. This should satisfy both camps! The direct URL to the Causby Obits page is: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/cau/CausbyObits Thanks, Wanda
Hello fellow researchers, I decided to start a CAUSBY GenConnect Board so we will have a place to enter queries, obits, wills, etc. where they can be maintained in a permanent way on the internet for all to benefit from. This board is not limited to the CAUSBY spelling, but will include all variations of spelling such as Cosby, Causbie, Cozby, Cosbey, etc. PLEASE ..... let's make this a success by sharing all of our information with others. Go through all of those files and pull out wills, deeds, obits, etc. and post them to the board. I have created a Causby Surname Page which links to the Causby GenConnect and my goal is to have this page to be "Causby Central" so to speak. If you have a personal homepage where you have genealogical information on your Causby family, I would like to place a link on this page to it. Please e-mail me privately at wcr@netunlimited.net with the URL. Or if you know of other web sites that would be appropriate to link to, please submit those. I will welcome any suggestions of ways to improve the web site, so feel free to send me your comments.
