Trying to find parents and siblings of Peter A. Caudle Nan Descendants of Peter A. Caudle Generation No. 1 1. PETER A. CAUDLE2 CAUDILL (JOSEPH CAUDLE1) was born May 27, 1830 in Anson Co, NC (?) (1827?), and died May 12, 1895 in Surry County, NC. He married MARGARET P. SMITH Abt. 1856 in Anson Co, NC (?), daughter of BENJAMIN SMITH and SARAH. She was born November 25, 1832, and died March 31, 1921 in Surry County, NC. Notes for PETER A. CAUDLE CAUDILL: Buried in the Walker Family cemetary, Surry Co., N. C. He came to Surry Co., N. C. from Peachland, Anson Co., N. C. in the 1860s, after or during the Civil War. Possible father: Joseph. Possible brothers: Colin and Edd Caudle. Born May 27, 1830 Anson Co., NC Died May 12, 1895 Surry Co., NC Lived near Thurmond. NOTE: I believe him to be descended from Absolum Caudle of Anson Co., N. C. but have not connected him, yet. NOTE: Peter A. Caudle was private in Company K-Forty-Third Regiment- Infantry-enlisted 25-February-1862. NOTE: The 1850 Anson County, N. C. census shows Peter A. Caudle, age 20 in the household of Sarah Arnest age 40, along with Ann Arnest, age 40 and Joseph E. Arnest, age 25. This family may be related or he may be a hired hand. Also on this census: James P. Smith, Floyd who was the daughter of Benjamin? and Sarah Smith. She had a daughter, Mary Floyd who married Walter Dyson in Surry Co., NC. According to Uncle Paul Anderson Caudle, He THOUGHT his father was Joseph and he THOUGHT he had brothers, Ed and Colin/Cullen Caudle. More About PETER A.
