Could you please explain why Martha took the name of Caudill instead of Oliver. Also, why is she listed as widowed in the census instead of a married name. There's a rumor that she was never married. That she had her children out of wedlock by Elisha Hughes. Another rumor is that she married her cousin? Do you know of any information on this?
