I have a definite path to Franklin Reece Caudell (1866-1953) who married Hester Gertrude Barton (1866-1938) in 1886. They were from, I believe, Alleghany Co., NC and moved to the Galax area. I have been told that Franklin's father was David Crockett Caudill, but I can't find anything to substantiate this. Does anyone know anything about a David Crockett Caudell, (possibly 1835-1919)??
