Hello Cousins, It has been quite a while since I posted so I figured it was time to go fishing again. I am still looking for information on Great Great Grandparents Isom Caudill (born ca 1822) and Nancy Bailey (born ca 1824) who married May 15, 1843 in Morgan County, Kentucky. Isom was the son of Thomas Caudill and Jenny Jane Caudill and I have the Caudill ancestry traced back 4 more generations to Stephen Caudill. I am still looking for clues to Nancy Bailey's parents. I am looking for more information on Isom and Nancy and their children. Apparently Isom and Nancy died between 1850 and 1860 because the children are found in 1860 living with relatives. When and where did Isom and Nancy pass away? The oldest child was Mahala Caudill (my Great Grandmother) born ca 1844, probably in Johnson County, Kentucky. She is found in the 1860 Johnson County, Kentucky census and next found in 1872 living with Husband Columbus A. H. Morgan in Kenton County, Kentucky. There is reason to suspect that this may be a second marriage for Mahala. Looking for information on where Mahala was between 1860 and 1872. Holly Caudill (male) was born ca 1846. Does anybody have information on what became of him? Abner Caudill was born ca 1850. I have some limited information on him but would be happy to learn more. Jane Caudill was born ca 1855. She was a very outgoing person in the community and she is recognized for many things she did in her community by the South West Virginia museum.
