I found a Harrison Caudill on the 1880 census for Cranberry Twp (family 72), listed with wife Sarah, age 24. I think this must be your Harrison, as the older children are the same ones listed in the 1870 census, although Mary is listed as the wife in the earlier census. Do you know what happened to Mary, and which children are Mary's and which are Sarah's? Also, do you know Sarah and Mary's maiden names? Thanks for the help....Cherie

Thank you for the census. Actually her name was Susan Fanny. I think one of the boys may have been named Harrison as a middle name. Susan Fanny is last found in 1910 in Dimmit county, TX along with husband, Meredith Holloway and several grown children. I can find no record of her death or place of burial, said to have occurred about 1918 in Nueces county, TX. Any information appreciated. Janet Lewis Crain http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~craingen/ ===================================== My GGGF is James Harrison Caudill son of John B. Caudill. Your posting has Harrison as son of Josiah Caudill. Harrison's name occurs in the 1870 census Cherry Lane Township line #36. Josiah's name occurs in the same reference on line #67~Cranberry Township. Josiah occurs again in the 1860 census with children: Sallie(21) William(19) Columbus(17) Henry(13) Fanny(11) Aris(6) Fariba(20) Harrison is not listed as a child of Josiah in the 1860 census. I think Harrison as child of Josiah may be an error. (Josiah,David,Stephen A, James Sr.) and (Harrison, John B., Jerimiah, William, James Sr.). Do you have information that refutes this? I'd appreciate any information you provide. Thanks. Lenny
