Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EFI.2ACEB/476.1.1 Message Board Post: I'm very interested in learning more about this line. I have Samuel's father and mother as David Caudill and Lucinda "Sina" Walker. Any information you'd care to share is appreciated. The pictures are especially intriguing. I'm one of the adminstrators for CaudillReunion.org and CaudillCabin.org. We're very interested in stories about the family. Where in Surry did they live? We have a lot of old Caudill photos on the web page. Take a look if you've never seen them. We have a few dating back to the 1880's. I'm also a Blevins. Do you know who Polly's parents were? My GGM was Francis "Jannie" Blevins (Caudill Cabin Jannie wife of Martin Caudill) and my GGGF was James Harvey Blevins. My aunt Ruth Caudill Kilby lived off Roaring River in Wilkes County and used to tell me that her property backed up to what used to be David and Sina's property. She never produced any hard evidence, but she never lied to me either. We have one DNA sample from your line in our DNA project. Richard Caudill, one of your cousins, contributed last fall. Write soon. This is all very interesting to me. Lenny Famon Caudill Lcaudill@Triad.rr.com Walkertown, NC

I will respond to those of you who have contacted me once I get the genealogy entered into the database along with the documentations. I'm still awaiting for further documentations from the researcher contributing the information. I will send a copy of the completed database to Brian Caudill in Florida as soon as it is ready and then will contact those who've emailed me recently. Does anyone descend from Augustine on this mailing list? We appreciate all our Caudill cousins who are helping us pay tribute to the family this year. You all are a great bunch of people. Here's the Tribute to the Caudill's page - http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Ekykchgs/Knott/Social_History/Area_Festivals/Caudills/2005.html It is a work in progress. If you want to contribute any newer information, etc., email me. Sincerely yours, David R. Smith, Pres. (Descendant of two Caudill Lineages) Knott Historical Society
