His mother was Cornelia Grace Hunt Smith and his father was William Franklin "Frank" Smith . He had a brother name Hershel and a brother named Martin Henry. For whatever reasons, Frank left his wife and three sons. I am not sure what happened next. I think she married a gentleman named Johnson ( first name unknown) and he then adopted all of the sons. Hershel and Denzil and their mother, possibly stepfather too were in San Luis Obispo, CA in 1961 when Martin Henry passed away back in OK. An obituary look-up would sure be appreciated. So would ANY information about this family. This is the Native American/ white Johnson and Smith family and not the African American Johnson and Smith family of the same surname in OK.
