    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Cardle, Simpson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HY.2ADE/1746 Message Board Post: I just wanted you to know that I posted on here in 2002 looking for my husband's birth mother Myrtle Cardle. Those who tried to help couldn't find a Cardle in Tulare in 1945. Come to find out she lived with her mother and stepfather and their names were Simpson. Hugh & Emily Simpson lived in rural Tulare county. They had several children, JoAnn, Bobby Ray and a Fannie Faye. Myrtle Cardle had my husband and adopted him out in 1945. I found that a Kenneth Cardle, mother maiden named Cardle, was born in Tulare in 1947. I looked for that name and found him living in Corpus Christi, TX. We live in Houston. I was able to find another brother that was missing born in Bakersfield and living in Dallas and a half sister Norma Bennett who also lived with the family in Tulare now living in Ventura. We all had a reunion in Las Vegas the end of last year and we've visited with the ones in TX again. Kenneth knew he probably had missing siblings because his birth certificate said! she had had 3 live births prior to him and he only knew of one other. There still may be one missing. But, I want you to know that I'm thankful for the help I got from this site and someone who did a look up for me at the county seat. If you ever come across anything related to a Simpson family from 1945-47, I'd love to know about it. Whether school or otherwise. The children were majority Choctaw & Irish--fair complected. They worked farm labor some but the stepfather was a carpenter, too. Sometimes it may seem like a lot of labor with limited benefit. But, you supply a piece of a puzzle for some of us and it can work out to be something great in the end. Keep up the good work!
