My mother, born Bertha Louise Pedrotti in 1919, was the daughter of James Stephen Pedrotti and Bertha Wilson, and would have been ten years old in 1930. The above Census entry, dated 1930, refers to my grandfather, my grandmother, my mother, Bertha Louise Pedrotti (then age 10); my Uncle Stephen Pedrotti (who worked in a bank in Berkeley and later at a bank in Sacramento); my Aunt Harriett; and my Uncle Peter Pedrotti, who was born 30 April 1916, enlisted in the US Army 11 May 1935, worked his way up through enlisted ranks and officer ranks to LtCol, retired as LtCol 30 April 1958, went to Stanford University 1958-1962, earned a Teacher's Certificate 1964, taught in the senior high schools in San Francisco for 18 years, served as the Founding Curator of Collingwood Library and Museum on Americanism, VA, for 14 years, passed away 22 January 2006. If you are interested in working on the genealogy for the James Stephen Pedrotti and Bertha Wilson Pedrotti who were living in Richmond CA in 1930, I would be happy to put you in touch with two of my children who are most familiar with these lines.
