This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Peters/Hudson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HY.2ADE/1764 Message Board Post: It's been a few years since I came here searching for my Missing Grandpa then after finding him, searching for answers. I still have some. Is there anyone here at this board whom lived or recalls a homeless/transient man found lying dead on Pixley St. in Pixley, CA on the morning of Jan. 2, 1968. I have already recieved his obituary, but my interest here today is, could someone who may have lived or worked in the area Grandpa was located, possibly have known or encountered him in the days preceding his death? Maybe a homeless shelter (worker), a coffee shop/restaurant (waitress), or even someone whom may have been living on the streets at that time? I also have a request. Would anyone in the area be willing to contact the coroner/medical examiner or funeral home to find out what became of my Grandpa's belongs (backpack), find out if he was buried with a flag draping his coffin, or if he was even given a decent burial as far as being buried in a suit or was he buried in his o! wn clothing or nothing at all? I already have his death certificate, but I would like to either find an autopsy report and/or info on the procedures taken before/during/and at the time of his burial. No relatives we're ever located, as I seriously believe no other action to locate us was taken other than putting his obit in the Tulare Newspaper. We are from Texas! My grandpa was buried ALONE, with no one in attendance. Did some kind soul/citizen come forward to attend my Grandpa's funeral/burial to mourn his loss in our place? I'd like to think so, but I doubt it. If anyone can help, I would be more than happy to return a favor is it pertains to Dallas County or Tarrant County, Texas OR if you or anyone you know has a truly Missing Person in your life due to runaway/lost due to illness such as Alzheimers, Schizophrenia, etc/or if there is someone you have not seen nor heard from in many years and you are concerned about there welfare. I am an Advocate and Locator of Missing! /Lost Persons and have resources to help you find them. Los Angeles, C A has hundred of deceased persons where no family has been located (most elderly, but not all). It is at www.unclaimedpersons.com Maybe one of these could be your lost loved one. Any info on my request will be much appreciated, but if not, my offer to help you is still open.
