This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Carrington Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HY.2ADE/1663 Message Board Post: I am looking for any information (other than census-which I have - except, unfortunately, 1890!) on George McClain Carrington and/or Walter S. Carrington, sons of Timothy Edgerton & Elizabeth G. Carrington and their sister, Kate Carrington. Timothy was the first postmaster in Yokohl Valley 1881-1883 - I presume he died in the summer of 1883, because the post office was closed for a few months and that is close to the time of his death as indicated in other records - but I have no "proof". According to my ggrandfather, Robert E. Lee Carrington (another of Timothy's sons), George and Walter both died of typhoid pnuemonia about 1893-1894 and would have been about 27-33 years old at death. Presumably Elizabeth died of pneumonia in 1896. Their sister, Kate, died about 1892 of "suppressed menstruation" in her late twenties. I have no information whether or not any of these siblings married or had offspring. I have done a thorough search of the cemetaries in the area and find neither brother, nor their father or mother or sister. If they died of something quite contagious, perhaps they were buried on their own land. I would like any info - obituaries, newspaper articles, etc. about the lives - especially any marriages or births of children - or their deaths. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!! Michele
