Chidester lived most of his life. He came from Ohio through IL and on to Tulare County by 1880. He is buried in Visalia Cemetery and died in 1887. Would love to share with these families. I know some Chedesters from there. I knew them in Calaveras County; they have since moved on to Mexico (they lived for a time in the Bay area, too). Coincidentally, some of the Chedesters in Tulare County knew some of the Shannons down there, too. I don't know their family history, but his name is Orville and his wife's name is Susan. They have a son Seth, and I forget their daughter's name. There is quite a bit about Tulare County (related to the Shannons mostly, of course) in my two-volume series "Still Casting Shadows" (1620-1913 and 1914-2006). You can download them free from either lulu or various other sites (google for them). They are also searchable on google books.
