Using the information you gave, I can not find a record of Laura Belle Likins passing away in CA. There is an Earl Likins that is buried in Porterville, he could be Laura's son. I did find a Laura B. My life is so hectic I don't have time to get too involved in message boards and the like but do respond to personal inquiries. The Brown side was a mystery to me for many years, but got gaps filled in in the late '80's. Jay Brown always felt I was too young to be interested and then a lot of his information got burned at Don Bairds house after Jay died. Dons wife did bring my great-greatgrandmother Anthony-Brown-White Bible to me at Penney's in 1982. It was another decendent that visited the Archives back east and came up with all the information of William Acker Brown and the whole Gibbons line. In the stuff that Betty Baird brought me with the Bible was a bank box containing several papers and a journal that belonged to my Grandmother Daley's Uncle, Cornielus Gibbons about herding sheep to Montana.

Fox, or Viola Bacon, daughter of Sumner Winn Bacon and Sarah Jeanette Jordan, of Georgia. All I have is the following...no information on if they had any children or not. These are descendants of my Watkins family. Any help appreciated. Viola J. BACON was born Dec 1876. Atlanta Constitution, January 15, 1903: "The wedding of Miss Viola Bacon to Mr. T.B. Fox which took place yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, was a pretty occasion. The ceremony was performed Rev. John E. White at the Second Baptist Church, which was beautifully decorated for the event. The only attendants were Miss Lucy Bacon and Mr. H.L. Fox. The bride, who is a striking pretty girl, wore a becoming traveling suit of dark blue cloth with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid-of-honor was gowned in white and carried bridesmaids roses. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. Fox and his bride left of a visit to Tennessee." Not long after her marriage, Viola posted this ad in the Atlanta Constitution: "Mrs. Viola Bacon Fox, Sudio 710-711 Lowndes Bldg. Minatures and Water-Color Portraits. Classes in China Decoration and Water Colors, Wood Carving and Pyrography." Also... "The art exhibition and reception held at the studio of Mrs. Viola Bacon Fox, 710-711 Lowndes Buidling, by her pupils Saturday was largely attended, and showed the increasing interest in art among Atlanta people." Surnames: Gossett, Chisler, Deioannis, Gilman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HY.2ADE/1625 Message Board Post: Hello List Subscribers and Message Board, I am looking for info about Della GOSSETT, b. 1898 Missouri who married first a CHISLER (she was mentioned as Mrs. Della Chisler in Feb 1935) and later she was married to a DEIOANNIS, possibly it was Dominic Deioannis, but I am not sure yet. I should know within a couple weeks. I have already sent my request & fee to obtain her obituary, but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who knew Della or her family. She died in 1955, so it has been a long time. She was my great-grandmother's sister. Much of the rest of her family lived in Wyoming. I don't know what took her to California. Della also had an older sister who died young in Missouri. Her name was Beulah Gossett GILMAN. There was a Virginia GILMAN who died in Dec 2000 in Exeter. The SSDI shows that Virginia was born in Missouri, as was Della and her sisters. I wonder if perhaps Virginia was Della's niece and since Della's sister died young, maybe Della raised Virginia Gilman. Does anyone out there know anything about Virginia Gilman? She was about 72 when she died in 2000. No one who is living in Della's sisters' and brothers' families knows much at all about Della (at least that I have found). I think this is partly because she died so long ago, and partly because she was California, far from the rest of her family. I would very much like to include her in my family history. If anyone has suggestions about my learning more about Della Gossett Chisler Deioannis, I would appreciate hearing from you. Specifically, I am going to look for her marriage records, her career, involvements in clubs or organizations and does she have any descendants out there?? I know most of this may appear in her obituary, but sometimes additional data about the deceased isn't inlcuded in obituaries. I will follow up this message after I receive her obituary and let you know if I have any additional data. Laura
